This week’s Mind Shift Monday comes from a real experience I just had.
I had the honor of serving medicine at a powerful ceremony. The energy was deep, sacred, and transformative.
But the next night, something unexpected happened.
I ran into one of the clients at a restaurant.
Beer in hand.
And not just a sip to celebrate.
They were back in their old world… less than 24 hours after stepping into a new one.
It hit me hard—not out of judgment, but because I know what happens when the post-dieta is ignored.
The ceremony doesn’t end when the medicine wears off.
That’s when it actually begins.
The post-dieta is your bridge. It gives your body, mind, and spirit the time they need to integrate what just shifted. You’ve opened emotional, energetic, and neurological doors. That openness is sacred—but also vulnerable.
When you numb or pollute that space with substances, distractions, or emotional chaos, you lose the medicine’s momentum.
You start to forget what you were meant to remember.
So what does a post-dieta actually look like?
Here’s a foundational structure:
- No alcohol, drugs, or stimulants
These suppress clarity and create resistance during your integration. - Clean, simple foods
Think steamed veggies, fruits, grains, legumes. Skip processed sugar, fried foods, red meat, and dairy. Your digestive system is part of your spiritual system. - No sexual activity (including solo)
Energy gets exchanged or lost here. This is a time to stay inward and protect your vitality. - No overstimulation
Avoid loud environments, social media binges, violent shows, or chaotic conversations. - More time in stillness
Journal. Walk in nature. Meditate. Stay connected to the lessons you received. - Spiritual hygiene
Salt baths, smudging, prayer, or breathwork help ground and cleanse your energy.
This isn’t about control—it’s about respect. Respect for the medicine. Respect for your process. And most of all, respect for the version of you trying to be born.
Ask yourself:
- Am I still living in alignment with what the medicine showed me?
- Or am I slipping back into the very patterns I came to break?
Don’t let the ceremony become just another event. Let it become a turning point.
This week’s shift:
If you’ve recently sat with medicine—or even if something in you has shifted deeply—give yourself 7–21 days of space. Create a dieta that supports your new frequency.
Don’t just integrate… embody.
You came here to heal.
Now honor it
