Sit Around the Fire

Last month, I went on a deep inner journey with psilocybin with the Tribe from Samadhi Ceremonies.

It was beautiful.
It was hard.
It was exactly what I needed.

There’s a moment I want to share with you—something that hit me straight in the chest and hasn’t let go since.

In the middle of the ceremony, a track by Jon Hopkins accidentally (but was it) came on. It wasn’t just music—it was a voice. It was Ram Dass.

The piece was called “Sit Around the Fire.” And for what seemed like an millennium, time stood still.

“You don’t have to go anywhere to find love…”

Those words washed over me like medicine.

Ram Dass didn’t preach. He didn’t teach.
He invited.

He reminded me that all the searching, striving, fixing, and effort we exhaust ourselves with—none of it compares to just being still and sitting with what is.

Not fixing.
Not figuring out.
Just… sitting.

Why this moment matters

That message landed so clearly because psilocybin had already softened the shell (I’m a Cancer).
I was open.
I was listening.

It’s easy to overlook the value of stillness when you’re busy chasing healing or “figuring things out.” But sometimes, the deepest work happens when you stop doing.

That’s what plant medicine can do. It clears the noise so you can hear your own truth.

Here’s what the medicine reminded me of:

  • You’re not broken. You’re buried.
  • The fire within you has never gone out. You just forgot how to sit with it.
  • Love, peace, and clarity aren’t things to chase—they’re things to remember.
  • When you sit around the fire of your soul, you meet the parts of you you’ve been running from.

And in that meeting… you begin to heal.

You don’t need to wait for a perfect moment.

This week, find your version of the fire.
It could be a moment of stillness with no distractions.
A meditation. A slow walk. A breath with your hand on your heart.

Close your eyes and ask:
What part of me needs to be heard right now?

Then just listen.

Don’t fix.
Don’t judge.
Don’t analyze.

Just sit.

If you feel the call to explore deeper healing through plant medicine, don’t ignore it. These aren’t trips or trends—they’re sacred tools that can reconnect you with the parts of yourself that the world has taught you to suppress. Come join the Tribe.

The path back to yourself isn’t always easy.
But it’s always worth it.
